X-Class launching campaign

With Scholz & Volkmer for Mercedes-Benz Vans
Do I need it? When a new vehicle is launched on the market, you first have to do some convincing. Especially when it is a completely new segment - like the X-Class, the first pick-up from Mercedes-Benz. An immersive digital campaign arouses desire and at the same time provides factual arguments, because ultimately the user can only want the X-Class if they are convinced that they need it.

Motion design
In lieu of a conventional product film, an interactive experience unfolded for the X-Class. Initially, the vehicle was showcased in diverse settings, with subsequent enhancements using motion-tracked 3D animations directly on the car. On the website, users had the flexibility to relish the visuals or activate the 3D level for detailed insights – from load capacity to coping gradients and the intricacies of the four wheel drive.

My responsibility involved designing the digital platform, serving as both the host for the interactive film and the campaign's digital nucleus. I designed the 3D animations, collaborating seamlessly with the 3D production team of we can dance.
